Dave Wood Empower Network: ‘Down To Ride’ For His Fallen Homies

by Brad Campbell on February 3, 2013

Here’s a gangster report on Dave Wood Empower Network and some recent sketchiness.

Not only did he pour out a little liquor for members of his Empower Network clique, who recently fell victim to unscrupulous YouTube attacks, but HPIC (head pimp in charge) David Wood proved he was down to ride.

No matter what.

Wood released the following Facebook update to address the Empower Network homies who’d unjustly had their entire YouTube channels shut down for “copyright violations”:

“There is an organized group going around flagging Empower Network reps’ YouTube videos (videos that aren’t even remotely breaking YouTube terms).  I have no idea who you are, but I’m guessing you’re on my Facebook wall.

Be warned: BIG, SCARY WARNING: I’m in the process of having lawyers research into whether or not we can sue the shit out of you.

I don’t like lawsuits, but what you’re doing hurts the little guy, and is about the most unethical thing that you can possibly do.

There are part time moms and dads, families who put thousands of hours of effort into their videos – and what you’re doing is bull shit, and you know it, and you need to realize how much it hurts – not me, but the thousands of people who are just trying to make it happen.

There is nothing wrong with these videos you’re flagging, and you know it.

If I can, and I have the money, I’ll get a court to subpoena your contact information from YouTube, and will sue you for damages against ALL of the affiliates that you are targeting.  I could give a crap about me – but you are messing with my family.

Back the fuck down.  Pass the word on.  It’s time that this stops.

After I sue you, and find out who you are, you will go into a hall of shame, for being the most unethical, garbage marketer ever.  If you want to come out and make a public apology, now is your chance, and your last chance.

That being said – I love you guys in Empower Network.

I have your back.

To Empower Network: I’ve never asked ANY of you to do anything unethical to market.  We’ve left names out of attacks, to let people save face.  We allow you to market whatever you want.  We let you say whatever you want.

You are awesome, and I love you.  You guys are the most badass, ethical group of marketers online, and you deserve the best.

WE will continue to set the ethical standard.

We don’t need to flag other companies’ channels, because we have a dream.  We love on people – and that’s ALL that we do – because in one moment, anyone can turn their life around.

Love you guys, and I do apologize for the warning in the midst of the most gangster growth ever – we need to unify to keep the standard high.”

Say what you will about Empower Network.

But don’t, for a second, try to convince me David Wood and David Sharpe are anything but loyal, good-hearted leaders.

I’ve never seen another network marketing company go to bat for their peeps like that.

Haters, pessimists, naysayers, talkers, conspiracy theorists – keep standing on the sidelines, spewing your irrelevant, uninformed, bitchy venom all over anyone who’ll listen.

Keep being shady.  Attack good-natured, hard-working Empower Network hustlers.

… But you’d better be willing to face the consequences.

Karma’s a bitch and I’ll have quite a laugh when you get what’s coming ;-)

I thought these cowardly YouTube attacks were a thing of the past when I left the affiliate marketing scene.

Apparently, I was wrong.

Sissies and sore losers exist everywhere.  It’s a shame that Google and YouTube have such manipulation-friendly policies and procedures in place.

God forbid they should look into these false, evil-spirited complaints, before giving someone’s channel the axe.

Don’t they know rival gangs be hating?

C’mon, man.

It’s a sad, shitty, unfortunate situation.

And my heart goes out to anyone affected.  2-Pac said it best: “Keep ya head up.”

Now… what can we learn from this?

First, you simply cannot put all your marketing eggs in someone else’s basket – especially YouTube.

They’ve shown time and time again, getting your account shutdown, with zero forewarning, is entirely possible.  So, if you’re leveraging YouTube to generate a large percentage of leads and sales, take precautions.

Save copies of all your videos, so all that grind lives on.

Yeah, it’d be some work.

But if you ever find yourself on the wrong end of a ban, create a new channel and start fresh.

Also, an optional play is to get a paid video hosting service, which is like taking out a life insurance policy on your video content.

That’s cool and all, but it costs money and keeps you from cashing-in on all that glorious YouTube traffic.

For that reason, I wouldn’t recommend saying “deuces” to YouTube altogether.

Keep videoing your ass off, build that channel, but do so with a safety net in place.

The bigger takeaway in all of this, is that the Empower Network has once again proved itself to be the most gansterific network marketing company in existence.

It’s the honey badger of our industry.

And as you saw in his Facebook post, David Wood don’t care.

He’s really pretty badass.  When you take a cheap shot and deliberately try to hurt his posse, all bets are off.

Could he have chosen to ignore it?  Yep.

Did he have to spend money, energy and resources to protect his troops?  Hell no.

Like Dave said, it didn’t even directly effect him.

But he did.

And that’s pretty gangster.  Speaking of which, so is my alter ego — the Profit Pimp.
